Only two years after his first appearance in The H, Kumar, the enfant terrible of Cuban hip-hop has taken Havana’s musical and performing underground by storm. With his band Mate, he is the only rapper whose fans overflow at La Tropical, the great coliseum of Cuban music. Following collaboration with
X Alfonso and Telmary, among others, Kumar is relentlessly creating fresh new poetic urban music.
His first CD with Adbala Studios brings musical arrangement by expert Harold López Nussa and special guests. It has a very seventies’ sound with an enviable metal section. Without a doubt, this has been Kumar’s year. A giant has arrived.
