SANTA MARÍA DEL MAR
The longest beach on Havana’s northern coast, also known as Marazul or Tropicoco, as its two hotels are named, it has eight kilometers of good quality sand. There is usually recorded music and roving guitar players, with many tourists and Cuban mixed together, sort of a disco-beach.

CALLE 16
The best thing about this little swim area is it’s within city limits, but it isn’t really a beach. This coral sea-access point fills up anyway, mostly with young folks, and is OK if you don’t want to leave town.
